Bizzare Restaurant: Undersea Restaurant in Maldives
One decade ago, Ithaa at Conrad Maldives Rangali Island was spectacularly ‘sunk’ five metres into the waters of the Indian ocean and ever since it’s been the mecca for lovers of food, culture and architecture the world over.

Ithaa, Maldives

Dining at it Ithaa is an experience hard to forget. its curved, transparent arcylic walls and roof is a fantastic window into the blue Maldivian waters, shimmering with fish, sharks and turtles.

The dessert menu is just as indulgent, the typical delights may be a chocolate fig dariole or a mascarpone infused with lemon grass espuma cream, or macarron stuffed with mangoes and berries, or lime and limoncello custard.

The Ithaa Underwater Restaurant is available for a cocktail hour, lunch and dinner.

The first-ever undersea restaurant in the world has been introduced at the Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa in April 2007. This innovative restaurant is the first of its kind in the world.

It's designed by Kiwi firm MJ Murphy LTd, the undersea restaurant is built using curved transparent polymer-bonded acrylic enclosure, like those in aquarium theme parks. The five-meter by nine-meter room can accommodate 14 diners, who would be in awe by the regular appearance of many colorful fish, stingrays, and even sharks that live in the neighboring reef not far from the restaurant.

The restaurant was built so that guests can enjoy the beauty of the ocean without getting their feet wet.

From my opinion, the restaurant is so unique and most beautiful restaurant i have ever seen. I think Malaysia suits to build this kind of restaurant as our place have a so many islands.

This restaurant is still run as usual.
